Who can participate in this international summer school ?
The minimum age for enrolment to the summer school is 18 years old.
A previous experience of animation is normally required for enrolment in this summer school program, in order for the students and trainees to get the most benefit from it and to participate in the workshop activities. Nevertheless, other profiles, coming from for example art design and production management, could also get a better understanding of character animation from the master classes, but would not be able to participate in the workshop (50% of the programme activities).
There will be no entrance exam ; admission will be based on an evaluation of the applicant’s profile as presented in the application dossier submitted with examples of graphic and animation work (photo-copies, digital printouts – no originals please –, DVDs only*) but there will be no formal evaluation, marks or grades.
*GOBELINS will not return any submitted materials.
Application and selection procedure
Applications may be submitted starting February 8th, 2010. Applicants must first sign up on line via this summer school website (see below). GOBELINS will then send an application form by regular mail or by email to be completed and returned to the school.
After evaluation of the application dossier, admissibility or non-admissibility to the International Summer School at GOBELINS will be notified by email and regular post. The selection process will continue until June 15th if places remain available.
After notification of admissibility, final admission to the International Summer School will be confirmed only after the school receives full payment of the fees.
